HYPERTUFA PLANTERS CONTAINERS GROTS
Containers, Planters, Grots, Stepping Stones

Ok this is another one that I can blame on Sharon, she got me started on thisHYPERTUFA Hypertufa stuff, just like she did with the stained glass. While my better half was away,on course, she sends me this link on making your own Hypertufa planters saying, "doesn‘t this look like fun". That was at the end of June (2002) to date (end of July) I’ve made 4 stepping stones, bird bath with rocks, 5 Grots, base for a stained glass lantern, planter, bum with feet and 2 more Grots that I have to put faces on.
So what is this Hypertufa stuff…it’s peat moss mixed with sand, cement and water which makes a much lighter finished piece with the strength of cement. You can make almost anything out of it including statues, bird baths, lawn balls, retaining walls just to mention a few. Plus you have most of the molds right there in your house or garage such as plant pots, foil pans, old roasters, pizza boxes etc.
